Cilantro

Love it or hate it (and we REALLY LOVE IT), cilantro adds big flavour with very few calories.

Adding cilantro is a great way for you to add flavour to a dish or beverage without adding extra calories, fat, or sodium. Cilantro is a tender herb which has gentle leaves that are best to add either raw or near the end of cooking in order to maintain their delicate flavor and texture.

Cilantro pairs well with many dishes, especially Mexican or Thai dishes and those with beans, cheese, eggs, and fish. Cilantro is also great with creamy vegetable dips and as a topping or garnish for soups and salads. The seeds, known as coriander, are a prime ingredient in Indian curries.

Few people think of cilantro as a medicinal herb, but research shows it’s a powerful digestive aid and may be capable of removing heavy metals and other toxic agents from the body. Some studies suggest that increasing consumption of plant foods like cilantro may decrease the risk of obesity, overall mortality, diabetes, and heart disease while promoting healthy skin and hair, increased energy, and overall lower weight.

Dill

A tangy addition to pickles, salad dressing and fish dishes, fresh dill has been used for culinary and medicinal purposes for hundreds of years. Both its seeds and leaves can be used.

Apart from giving a strong, tangy, appetizing flavor and taste, it has many medicinal properties, which mainly come from certain compounds called monoterpenes, as well as flavonoids, minerals, and certain amino acids.

The health benefits of dill include its ability to boost digestion, as well as provide relief from insomnia, hiccups, diarrhea, dysentery, menstrual disorders, and respiratory disorders. It is also good for oral care and can be a powerful boost for your immune system. It can also protect you from bone degradation. It is also an anti-inflammatory substance, which means that it can protect you against arthritis. Furthermore, it can reduce excess gases, and is considered a carminative.

Garlic

Garlic is a rich source of phytochemicals. These plant chemicals are thought to ward off disease and help boost your immune system.

Garlic has traditionally been used to treat many health conditions, including: high blood pressure; high cholesterol; heart disease; and different types of cancer.

Music Garlic may not be a cure-all, but it makes a nutrient-rich addition to any diet.
